Although the Lights of Winter show began in 2013, we took the big leap of creating a business on July 25th, 2019 (Christmas in July)! Beginning in 2018 we started taking on clients and saw the potential we had to grow our client base throughout Central Florida. During the first year in 2018, we decorated 4 houses and in 2019, we added 2 houses to our client base. The original Lights of Winter show at the Rogers' Family home in Plant City, FL. was permanently discontinued in 2019 due to neighbor conflicts. However, we will have a new show running at our home in the Davenport area in 2020 in addition to decorating clients homes! Nick & MacKenzie met in the summer of 2018 and with Nick's decorating background and MacKenzie's business background, we make up the partners of Lights of Winter LLC. 

Nick has been decorating for the holidays since he was 5 and it quickly became a passion of his. He loved going to Disney throughout his life, especially at Christmas time! This special season included 2 musical Christmas light shows at the time, The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights in (then) MGM Studios and Lights of Winter in Epcot. These two light shows inspired Nick to want to work at Disney and also to create musical light shows himself, bringing us the original Lights of Winter show. Nick was most recently a front desk supervisor at Disney's Port Orleans - French Quarter before being laid off in 2020.

MacKenzie was always designated as the Christmas tree decorator in her house and cooks most of her family's holiday meals. MacKenzie was most recently a concierge Cast Member at Disney's All Star Movies before being laid off in 2020. She has a degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Human Resources and plans to graduate in 2021 with a Master's degree in Business with an emphasis in Organizational Leadership. MacKenzie is now a Guest Service Representative at Geico.
